Your Privacy

FeedCastX does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Every feed you subscribe to, and every setting you choose, stays locally on your device. There are no accounts and no servers of ours in between.

What We Collect

FeedCastX does not collect any personal information. The app stores the following data locally on your device only:

The RSS/Atom feed URLs you subscribe to
Episode metadata (titles, descriptions, publish dates) fetched from those feeds
Playback position, played/unplayed status, and your queue order
Episodes you choose to download for offline listening
App settings such as playback speed and Wi-Fi-only download preference

None of this data is ever transmitted to any server we operate — we don't operate one.

Network Requests

FeedCastX is a podcast and feed player, so it does make network requests — but only to the feed and media URLs you choose to add. When you subscribe to a feed, play an episode, or download one, the app connects directly to that feed's own host (e.g. the podcast publisher's server) to fetch content. FeedCastX has no server of its own in that path, does not proxy or log these requests, and does not know or care what you subscribe to. Once content is fetched, feed and episode data is stored only on your device.

No Accounts, No Analytics

FeedCastX does not require sign-in, does not use any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, crash reporting tools, or tracking frameworks of any kind. There is no user account of any kind, on-device or otherwise.

Data Storage

All app data — subscriptions, episode metadata, playback progress, queue, and downloaded files — is stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework and the file system on your device. Deleting the app permanently removes all stored data. You can also unsubscribe from a feed or remove a download at any time within the app.

OPML Import & Export

FeedCastX lets you import an OPML file to bulk-add subscriptions, and export your subscriptions as an OPML file. Both operations happen entirely on your device via the standard iOS file picker and share sheet — FeedCastX does not upload your subscription list anywhere.

External Links

Some feeds include items that link to external webpages (for example, a mirror or source link that opens in Safari instead of playing directly in the app). These external sites are operated by third parties and governed by their own privacy policies, which FeedCastX has no control over.

Purchases

FeedCastX is a one-time paid app. Your purchase is handled entirely by Apple's App Store — FeedCastX never sees or stores your payment information.

Children's Privacy

FeedCastX does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children. Since no personal data leaves your device to any server of ours, there are no age-based data-handling restrictions to disclose.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. Significant changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes.
