IEC104 SimX does not collect, transmit to us, or share any personal data. The app has no servers, no accounts, and no analytics. It connects only to the IEC 60870-5-104 devices you choose to configure.
The following is stored locally on your device only:
None of this is transmitted to the developer. Deleting the app removes everything it has stored.
IEC104 SimX is a telecontrol test tool: its entire purpose is to act as a master (controlling station) and connect to the IEC 60870-5-104 slave devices that you specify. When you connect, the app exchanges 104 protocol frames directly with that device over a TCP connection. The data exchanged travels between your device and that controlled station only.
Those devices are operated by you or by third parties (for example an RTU, a substation gateway, or a slave simulator on your own or your employer's infrastructure). They are not controlled by the developer of IEC104 SimX and are governed by their own policies. Please review the policy of any device or network you connect to.
iOS may ask permission for IEC104 SimX to access devices on your local network. This is used solely to reach IEC 60870-5-104 devices running on your LAN (such as an RTU, a gateway, or a slave simulator on a PC or Raspberry Pi). The app does not scan, catalog, or report devices on your network.
IEC104 SimX contains no analytics, advertising SDKs, crash-reporting tools, or tracking frameworks. There are no user accounts. The app makes no network requests other than the device connections you initiate.
IEC104 SimX is a one-time paid app with no in-app purchases or subscriptions. All payment is handled by Apple's App Store. The developer does not receive, store, or process any payment information.
IEC104 SimX does not collect data from anyone. Since no personal data leaves the device to the developer, there are no age-based restrictions on data handling.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. Significant changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes.
