Your Privacy

MQTT SimX does not collect, transmit to us, or share any personal data. The app has no servers, no accounts, and no analytics. It connects only to the MQTT brokers you choose to configure.

What the App Stores

The following is stored locally on your device only:

Connection settings — broker host, port, client ID, protocol version, TLS preference, and any username you enter.
Topics and payloads you type into the Subscriber, Publisher, and RTU screens.
Activity logs — the live message log is kept in memory only and is cleared when you close the app or tap Clear.

None of this is transmitted to the developer. Deleting the app removes everything it has stored.

Broker Connections

MQTT SimX is a networking tool: its entire purpose is to connect to MQTT brokers that you specify. When you connect, the app exchanges MQTT messages directly with that broker over a TCP or TLS connection. The messages you publish or subscribe to travel between your device and that broker only.

Those brokers are operated by you or by third parties (for example a public test broker, your own server, or your employer's infrastructure). They are not controlled by the developer of MQTT SimX and are governed by their own privacy and security policies. Please review the policy of any broker you connect to.

Local Network Access

iOS may ask permission for MQTT SimX to access devices on your local network. This is used solely to reach MQTT brokers running on your LAN (such as a Raspberry Pi or a broker on your office network). The app does not scan, catalog, or report devices on your network.

No Tracking, No Ads, No Accounts

MQTT SimX contains no analytics, advertising SDKs, crash-reporting tools, or tracking frameworks. There are no user accounts. The app makes no network requests other than the broker connections you initiate.

Payment

MQTT SimX is a one-time paid app with no in-app purchases or subscriptions. All payment is handled by Apple's App Store. The developer does not receive, store, or process any payment information.

Children's Privacy

MQTT SimX does not collect data from anyone. Since no personal data leaves the device to the developer, there are no age-based restrictions on data handling.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. Significant changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes.
